Yes. The ThermaGuard Retrofittable Enclosure is designed to install around existing instruments without taking them offline. Its modular construction supports installation all at once or in stages, while pre-engineered openings help accommodate conduit, wiring and tubing bundles during field installation.

When equipped with the ThermaGuard Heated Liner, the enclosures can maintain above 75°F/23.9°C in environments reaching -60°F/-51.1°C. Actual performance depends on the selected configuration, insulation and operating conditions. Terrapin can provide technical guidance for the intended application.

The ThermaGuard Retrofittable Enclosure has an IP66 protection standard, while the ThermaGuard Expandable Enclosures have an IP65 protection standard. These ratings support dust-tight or dust- and water-resistant protection as specified for each product and should be evaluated against the complete installation environment.

The ThermaGuard Expandable Enclosures use an expandable design for single, double or triple instrument configurations. Replaceable back plates can be field-punched for power wiring, control wiring and process tubes, allowing the entry-port arrangement to be adapted to the instrumentation layout.

Class 1 Division 2 rated thermo-electric coolers are available for hazardous location applications with the expandable enclosure system. The appropriate equipment configuration must be selected for the site classification, instrumentation and installation requirements. Terrapin provides technical support and installation service, including field installation support for process tubing, electrical work, block heaters, calibration and testing. Support is also available for field customization of entry ports, and replacement parts can be supplied for individual components.
