Terrapin’s patented ThermaGuard expandable design makes installation of rigid enclosures simplified and versatile for multiple instrument configuration. Enclosures can be installed as a pre-assembled fully integrated system. Holes for power wiring, control wiring, and process tubes can be easily customized in the field. Terrapin’s expandable enclosure provides a straightforward and intuitive installation process that can be integrated in a shop or installed in the field.

Versatility & Customizability
Terrapin’s Expandable enclosure system can fit a single double or triple instrument application. This system features gland plates that allow for custom holes to be cut for tubing, piping and other process penetrations into the enclosure. All hole penetrations are sealed with entry seals and cold shrink caps.

Removable Insulation (Optional)
ThermaGuard removable insulation includes a lined shell to provide extra protection and increased efficiency. It is made from a lightweight Urethane foam to conserve heat loss. The 2-piece removable design allows insulation to be installed or replaced at any time. The insulation has a K Factor of .159 BTU (IT) inch/hour/foot²/Fahrenheit. With the arctic insulation and Terrapin heater, the ThermaGuard Expandable Enclosure can maintain up to > 75°F/23.9°C in a -50°F/-45.5°C temperatures.
